AHE Art Exhibition

Paint Brush Wallpapers - Top Free Paint Brush Backgrounds - WallpaperAccess

The AHE Art Exhibition is a chance to enjoy each other’s artistic creations and be inspired. Each year we have a theme (e.g. New Zealand Nature; Myths, Legends and Fairy Tales; Cultures of the World…). Children of any age may enter. Each child will receive a participation certificate.

The AHE Art Exhibiton is on it’s way!! Express your feelings with beautiful art.

Want to be involved?
We’re always keen to have people involved. There are organisational roles, both before and on the day to fill as well as ‘judge’ roles. If you’re an artist of any sort then we’d love to have your help looking at all the wonderful entries and giving our participants feedback on their art. There is no first, second, third but you do get to choose a ‘judge’s choice award’ winner for the group that you review.

For more information or email admin@ahe.org.nz.

We look forward to seeing your amazing creations at the AHE Art Exhibition.

See below for more details about the AHE Art Exhibition…

How does the AHE Art Exhibition work?

The AHE Art Exhibition is a chance to enjoy each other’s artistic creations and be inspired. Each year we have a theme (e.g. New Zealand Nature; Myths, Legends and Fairy Tales; Cultures of the World…). Children of any age may enter. Each child will receive a participation certificate.

What kind of art work is allowed?

Pretty much anything, we think!  Drawings, painting, collage, sculpture, photography, craft…. & this year digital art.

CATEGORIES:

Each participant may enter up to 2 categories this year.

2D – anything that can be displayed on a flat surface, such as card or canvas. For example: painting, sketching, etching, crayon and dye, collage, cartoon, pastels, printmaking etc or a mix.

3D and Craft – any artwork that is three dimensional. For example: clay sculpture, papier-mâché, painted rocks, wire sculpture, masks, models, carving, dolls, jewellery.

Photography – Display a single photo or a collection on a poster or free standing board.

Wearable Art – Art you can wear.

Story Illustration – create a story or comic that you illustrate or illustrate someone else’s story.

Digital Art – a 2D digital drawing, painting, Photoshop, 3D digital sculpture, even Minecraft build. However we want to keep this to visual arts rather than musical/sound art or dance).

PLEASE ENSURE THAT:

  • Art work that is submitted was made this calendar year.
  • Any assistance that the child has received with their art work must be acknowledged. Generally, tracing and copying is not acceptable. If this is done, it must be acknowledged.

Please note: as with all AHE events, parents are responsible for the the safety and care of their own children. Please ensure you actively supervise the children in your care.
