Becoming an AHE member keeps you up-to-date with AHE run events as well as activities that members are running in the community.
You are also supporting home education in Auckland – a freedom we would all like to promote and preserve!

A quick reminder that our membership benefits include:

  • AHE email loop;
  • An e-newsletter each term;
  • Discounted entry to AHE run events including the Science Fair, History Fair, Art Exhibition, and other events such as Parent Forums;
  • Opportunity to engage with other homeschooling families;
  • Face-to-face information and Q&A forums with MOE staff on a variety of topics;
  • A regional conference where you can learn more about home education and meet like-minded families;
  • Our Facebook/Meta page helping to keep you up-to-date with articles and information on home educating from around the world;
  • Additionally, we also liaise with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the National Council of Home Educators New Zealand (NCHENZ) to keep you informed of the latest updates and changes. We also hold monthly Information Sessions to provide information and advice for people considering home educating and to help grow our community.

Our annual membership is $20 per family (or $35 for two years).

  • Your membership runs for the 12 month or 24 month period, from the date you sign up.
  • You will be reminded via email to renew your membership at the time of your renewal date.
  • Please check your emails so your membership does not expire accidentally!  Contact membership@ahe.org.nz if you are unsure when your memberships expires.
